Chairman & President
Managing Member
Han-Ton
Lim is the chairman and managing member of CX Venture Capital Group. Mr.
Lim brings in extensive years of senior management experiences in the
financial industry throughout the greater China region. Prior to CX Venture
Capital Group, Mr. Lim held several senior positions at TCC Hong Kong
Cement International Limited, and Shanghai Commercial Bank, Ltd.
Jerome Shen
Managing Member
Jerome Shen, Ph.D., is
the Managing Member of CX Venture Group and has over ten years of venture
investment experience in the life science industry. Dr. Shen has been
actively involved in over 20 investments by taking part-time engagement as
President and CEO of the portfolio companies in the startup and post
startup stages and by providing business advisory services within the
Greater China region. Dr. Shen also holds the position as Secretary General
of Taiwan Biotech Association, an organization dedicated to fostering and
promoting Taiwan
biotechnology industry. Dr. Shen currently sits on several committees of
the government funded organizations and research institutions in the
biotechnology related field in Taiwan. Prior to joining CX in
1998, Dr. Shen worked on Business Development at Tanox, Inc. Dr. Shen is a
member of the Board of Directors for AkriBio, Bioresources International,
Cytopharm, Kiotek, Lytone, Level Biotechnologies, and Mycenax. Dr. Shen
received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the
University
of Wisconsin- Madison and B.S.
from Tsinghua
University.
Michael Huang
Associatet Vice President
Michael Huang currently serves as Associate Vice President at CX Venture
Capital Group with focus on life sciences investment in the North America regions. Mr. Huang had served as an
observer on the Board of Directors for Nellix, Inc., a star-up medical device
company focusing on the development of the AAA endografts. Mr. Huang brings
several years of experiences in financial/strategic planning and marketing.
Prior to joining CX, Mr. Huang took a position as Lead Chemical Engineer at
Nan Pao Resins Group where Mr. Huang was responsible for the implementation
of ERP programs with several major clients and for the promotion of new
water-based adhesive products. Prior to Nan Pao, Mr. Huang was a financial
analyst at Continental Airlines’ technical operation group. Mr. Huang
received an MS degree in Chemistry from University of Texas at Arlington
and an MBA from Rice University.
Margaret Kuo
Specialist
Margaret Kuo currently serves as Specialist of CX Venture Group with eleven
years of working experience in the life science industry. Ms. Kuo served as
Associate of incubation center, genomics research center, at Academia
Sinica, a preeminent academic institution of R.O.C. Ms. Kuo took several
positions at Portal Dunhuang Intangible Asset Appraisal, Inc, the Hong Kong
and Shanghai Banking Corp. Ltd., Biotech Industry Force Commission of
Taipei City Government, and National Yang Ming University, and joined CX in
2007.Ms. Kuo received her M.S. and B.S. in Plant pathology and entomology
from Nation Taiwan University and now is a PHD candidate of National Taiwan
University at Plant Variety Protection. She is a special agent for China
PVP right application.
